Mamata Banerjee with folded hands, while responding to Abhijit Ganguly’s recent derogatory statement about asking Mamata’s “price”.
Attending a roadshow in Tamluk on Friday, Abhishek said: “The BJP candidate here is asking for Mamata Banerjee’s price.
I have come here to tell you all the real price of Mamata Banerjee.”
“Your political boss bows his head before Mamata Banerjee. So how dare you ask her price? Can you set a price on 10 crore people in Bengal? Can you set a price on this soil of Biplabi Satish Chandra Samanta? I appeal to you all, never let this soil of Bengal be defiled,” Abhishek thundered.
Earlier in his speech, the TMC neta tore into Ganguly, Dilip Ghosh and Suvendu Adhikari over their repeated insults to the CM.
“The identity and price of the lady you are questioning is the one who has been providing Lakshmir Bhandar to 2.1 crore women in Bengal, she is the one who has helped lakhs of sisters under Kanyashree welfare scheme and she is the one providing free ration to 10 crore households. BJP’s Dilip Ghosh and Abhijit Ganguly are asking the price of that woman,” said Abhishek.
Abhishek said BJP functionaries had sold Midnapore’s pride to their Delhi masters and added that Trinamool could not be bought despite BJP unleashing pow- ers of all central agencies.
Opposition parties had resorted to such tactics as they knew they were fighting for the second spot in Midnapore while AITC was winning comfortably, he added.
